1) Volunteer Missioners
Offer their time, talent and treasure by spending from two months
to two years in the missions at home or abroad. They go through
an Application Process which includes
This is the first step in the application process.
- Full Application
- Orientation: Formation/Service Camp (FSC)
- In Texas we have two FSC, one in January and one in June
- In New Jersey we have another FSC in July
As applicants choose the formation camp they wish to attend--
either in New Jersey or Texas--that office follows them through the
application process and Mission Experience.
You may JOIN VIDES by becoming
- 1) a Volunteer Missioner
- 2) a Member, and/or
- 3) a Sponsor
All three experience and share life in Christ in everyday living
to help other young people and women,
- at home in the United States and/or
- in developing countries.
Through VIDES thousands of people
are opting to make a difference in the world.

2. Members
At the end of their mission, returning volunteer missioners participate in a Re-Entry,
They meet to reflect and integrate their experience. At that time they become Members
VIDES is not a one-time life experience, but the beginning of a life of service. They
continue to live the VIDES Legacy by their service wherever they are-at home, work,
and/or at church.
3) Sponsors contribute of their expertiese and/or treasure to further the vision
and mission of VIDES. They can also become Members by opting to make of their
contributions, not just a one-time event, but a continued service.
