Hi all, I think my Birthday in Chile would have to be one of the best
birthdays I have ever had!!!!!!!  this could be because.....

Sor Lorena told me I wasn't allowed to get up early and had to wait until she
came to wake me up which means something is up.
I am waiting to be "woken up" and I can hear Sor Lorena and some girls
outside my room doing something and then I can see on the ceiling the
shadow of ballooons so I'm thinking this is cool.
The girls are all making lots of noise telling each other to shhhhh or
silencio!  Then one girl has a toy bear that when you push it's parts of the
body it says them in English so I hear a "This is my hand".  I am laughing
now.

Next thing i hear, "uno dos tres..."  I am expecting a Happy birthday song
and I get bombarded with soft toys!!!!  All the girls' soft toys.  I started
throwing them back, just a little war.  They all sang Happy birthday in
English and Spanish.

Every class I had I was sung Happy birthday in English and Spanish. I think
I was sung happy birthday in one day more than all my other birthdays put
together.

Sor Lorena took me out for a Hot Chocolate and Yummy as cake!
Alejandra took me out for a yummy as Lemon Pie, which I adore and Hot
Chocolate.

Lunch with the Sisters and the Priest that comes on Thursdays.  Very
cool!!!  I chose my favourite Chilean food which is Empanadas of Cheese
and of Meat.  Then Sor Lorena and Orieta made the yummiest biggest
cake ever!!!  Of Chocolate, Vanilla and Manjar and Cream!!!!!!  1000000
points!!!!!!!!  Also we had Pisco Sour, which is the Chilean liquor that I
love!!!!

I waited after lunch to open my present from the sisters, and as I was
opening it, I read "Lady Jane lingerie!!!"  I'm thinking, "is this okay to open
in front of the priest?"  I asked Sor Anita and she's like "no don't open it",
but I keep going very slowly and carefully and inside is a Clock of Chile and
a CD that I really like and have been wanting to buy.  It has one of the
sisters that showed me around Santiago singing on it and it is beautiful.
Anyway, it was a very good laugh.

In the evening I was invited up to the other dormitory and the girls up there
had a ceremony for me and wrote a beautiful letter and it was lovely.  When
I went to bed - my bed had been short sheeted!!!!!  The sheet was tied in
knots and I had all the toys of the girls to sleep with.  (wasn't that kind of
them).  Actually I loved it!

Time for the cake (yes another  one) and after the Happy Birthday, they tell
me it is a Chile tradition to bite the cake (like we scream when you first cut
the cake).  I am having a hard time with this and don't believe them.  Also I
just can't phsyically bit the cake it is unhygenic or something.  Anyway
finally I pluck up the courage and do it only to find my face totally in it!!!!!
Very funny!!!!!!!!!!  What a sucker I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A huge thank you to everyone who made my day sooooo special!!!!!
Especially Alejandra and Sor Lorena!!!!!!!!!!!!  You two are the best and I
am really thank you to have to as my friends here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that is all I have to say.  I hope all of you are happy and living up life.

love and Godbless
