Working at SYLC and the Day Camp at
Corpus Christi Church, Patty is no
stranger to the Salesian community. As
the oldest of 4 children from San
Francisco, CA, Patty has been involved
and coordinated many volunteer
organizations. Patty will be serving her
mission in San Antonio at St. John Bosco
School as a teacher’s aide providing
recreation and enrichment activities.

From: Colleyville, Texas USA

The oldest of 2, from Colleyville, TX, in the
Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, Christina
graduated from The University of Texas at
Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology and a minor in Human
Development Family Sciences this past
December. She will be serving in the
VIDES office as Sr. Mary Gloria Mar’s
assistant in San Antonio, as well as
providing recreation and enrichment
activities to the students at St. J. Bosco
School.
Name: Teresa Fitzgibbon Conroy
From: Portland Oregon

: Tanzania
As the second oldest of 6 children
from Portland, OR. Teresa graduated
from Oregon State University with a BA
in Business Marketing. Teresa has
taken a leave of absence from her job
as a Show Operations Coordinator for
3 months in order to serve in Africa.
She is currently teaching computer
courses to the people of Tanzania,
Africa.
Name: Jill (Morton-Jones) Heeney
From: Auckland, New Zealand

: Chile
Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Jill is the 4th
child, 1st girl of 11 children. She obtained her
Bachelor of Nursing from Unitec Institute of
Technology and a Master’s degree from Christ
Church College of Education. Jill took a leave
of absence from St. Mary’s School where she
taught children between the ages of 5 and 9.
Jill will be completing her mission in Chile,
where she will be accompanying 50 young
girls and providing tutoring, recreation, and
enrichment activities.
Name: Marion Short
From: Fort Worth, Texas
Served in
: El Salvador
The oldest of 3 from Ft. Worth, Tx. Marion
graduated from The University of Texas at
Austin with a Bachelor of Business
degree in Marketing. Marion has had
previous experience in mission work with
her church back home whether it be local
or in Mexico. Marion will be serving her
mission in El Salvador for 4 months
teaching English to the children as well
as providing recreation and enrichment
activities.
