| Less than a year after the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe, Joseph and Maria Mueller (see below) went the Greater New Orleans area to help at a summer camp for children. They played games, swam and learned many things. The children were able to let go of all the sadness and turmoil and have some good fun! Joseph, too, loved being with the young people. |

| From CA to SA to CO, Wendy obtained her college degree between her volunteer experiences in 2002 and 2006. She has her BS in Religious studies, philosophy and Spanish. Her interests include religious education, office work and working with poor children. |

| While waiting for their Visas to be approved for in Sudan, Matt and Frank So (see below) spent a month in Rwanda and started the Banana Fund. Currently Matt is in Sudan at a technical training school for young boys, where he is coordinating administration for the three boarding houses and teaching English. Matt is interested in economic development, teaching and youth ministry. |

| Marta spent a month in Ayutla, Mexico helping with the education system. Her experience in Mexico taught her about the poverty of their education because she realizes that many of children have very bright minds, but they do not have the opportunity for a good education. Marta also enjoys cooking, art, music, guitar and math. |

| Frank and Matt Putorti (see above) traveled together first to Rwanda, where they established the Banana Fund, and then to Sudan. He is writing grant proposals for the expansion of the technical school for the boys of Sudan. Frank has his MA in international peace and conflict resolution. His interests include photography, jogging, leading retreats and teaching. |
