Serving the orphaned youth, people I encountered there, I witnessed a true expression of God’s love. In them could be seen a joy so profound that it overcame obstacles of poverty and oppression, sickness and pain. Their joy touched me deeply and made me realize that its source came from one place—God’s presence within them. I am blessed to have witnessed that revelation, and I desire to never forget that my own life is a great gift from God, a gift to all. I have come to realize the many wondrous and varying ways God calls each of us to serve Him and glorify Him.
