I worked at a retreat center (Kendal, England) for inner city urban schools in Northern England. One of my favorite memories was doing affirmations with a 10th grade group. A young girl who had been tough all week came up to me, gave me a hug and told me that she felt more at home and safe in the past couple of days than she had in a long time. I had a great time working with the retreat groups. Hearing others' experiences has been a blessing. I will always remember the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve heard.
